No. Its calculation or transformation happens on your device.
Using PDF Page Range Generator with the right inputs
Generate a valid consecutive PDF print page range. Start by matching your task to the quantities and options shown below. The definitions of the inputs matter as much as the final number or transformed output; retain the original values so that you can repeat or check the result.
Inputs and options explained
- First page: Enter the numeric value for this quantity using the units or scale shown in the label. The form indicates a minimum of 0.
- Last page: Enter the numeric value for this quantity using the units or scale shown in the label. The form indicates a minimum of 0.
Method and interpretation
An inclusive page range contains last page − first page + 1 pages. The tool formats the endpoints as a continuous range and reports its size.
Worked example
First page 5 and last page 12 produce the range 5–12, containing 8 pages. A range beginning and ending at page 5 contains one page.
Assumptions and limitations
Use positive whole page numbers, with the last page on or after the first. Printed labels such as Roman numerals can differ from a PDF viewer's physical page numbers. Check the preview before printing; this helper does not inspect the document.
Can I combine separate ranges?
This form generates one continuous range at a time. If you combine ranges in a print dialog, follow that application's syntax and preview the selected pages.
Before you use the output
- Choose the intended action: Calculate. Re-run the operation after changing an input or mode so that you are checking the updated result.
- Read the result label and any accompanying explanation. Keep the input values or source file with the output so that a later comparison uses the same assumptions.
- If a result looks unexpected, check units, separators and selected options first. Try a smaller example you can verify rather than repeatedly changing several settings at once.
Questions or a result that needs checking?
If you find a discrepancy, report a problem with PDF Page Range Generator. Include a non-sensitive example, the selected options, the result you expected and the result shown. This makes the issue easier to reproduce. See About & privacy for how the site handles tool inputs.
